We are selling a brand new Corning POTS Splitter.
What is a POTS Splitter ?
POTS stands for Plain Ordinary Telephone Service (meaning a copper phone line, usually provided by a telephone company).
This device is used to filter the DSL, ADSL, or VDSL from an analog telephone line, at your home or business.
This unit installs near the demarcation point, which is the place where your telephone line(s) connect to your phone jacks, or to your phone system, etc.
We are paying for shipping within Continental USA.
Connect the telephone company phone line which has your high-speed internet on it, to this POTS splitter, to one of the ports labelled as "line".
Then connect your phone company DSL modem to one of the ports labelled as "dsl modem".
Then, connect your telephone(s), or the phone system, to one of the ports labelled as "phone".
These unit has 3 phone jacks on one side, and 3 bare wires connections on the other.
Each of those connections is a "port".  2 ports for line in, 2 ports for DSL modem, and 2 ports to connect to your phone equipment.
NOTE that only one port for Line in, and only one port for "to DSL modem" should be used at a time, for optimum performance.
If you are a telecom technician, an IT professional, a cabling contractor, or an electrician who does cabling, you should have one of these POTS splitters in your tool bag.
This POTS splitter eliminates the need for those little plug-in, in-line DSL filters that people used to have on each of their telephones, if they had high-speed internet.
Why do you need a POTS splitter ?  Because it will remove the audible data noise, from your telephone line, if you have DSL, ADSL, or VDSL high-speed internet.
It allows for the same phone line that has the DSL on it, to also be used for inbound and outbound phone calls (if equipped).
This POTS splitter comes complete with installation instructions, and safety instructions, as shown in the photos.
NOTE if your DSL is being provided as a dry-loop circuit, your phone line will not provide the ability to place or receive phone calls.
