    Description

Selling all 21 filters as one lot.
Whole house filter for dsl/uverse internet service to eliminate individual filters at each telephone. Designed to be mounted inside network interface, but can be adapted for other location such as basement wiring. Comes with installation instructions.
The signal from the phone company travels through all the connected wiring in a house or business whether there is a telephone at the end or the modem. Elimination, by filtering, of as many runs of wiring inside a house or business that the modem signal travels (all of them if not disconnected or filtered at the network interface) seeking the modem has been proven to increase signal strength to the modem. This can result in more of the "paid for" speed and more reliability in overall internet service.
The description below of "bridge tap" gives more information on how this can weaken signal to the modem.
Digital subscriber lines (DSL) can be affected by a bridged tap, depending on where the tap is bridged. DSL signals reflect from the discontinuities, sending the signal back through the cable pair, much like a tennis ball against a brick wall. The echoed signal is now out of phase and mixed with the original, creating, among other impairments, attenuation distortion. The modem receives both signals, get confused and "takes errors" or cannot sync. If the bridged tap is long, the signal bounces back only in very attenuated form. Therefore, the modem will ignore the weaker signal and show no problem.
