From time to time we are able to acquire wood from our suppliers that is especially beautiful.  Not wanting to hide the beauty of such wood by checkering or engraving it, we'll leave it smooth as a finished product.  Since each such set is highly unique, the sets are numbered and sold individually.  We have here such a set, made for the Walther P1 and P38 pistols only.

These are made of fine English walnut,
without checkering or borders.  The lower-left grip panel is designed to accommodate the lanyard loop in the heel of the pistol.  These are fantastic grips with beautiful, rich grain patterns on both sides
, with the escutcheons set into the grip without any engraving around them.  As is done on these Walther models, these grips enclose the backstrap of the gun and are secured by one grip screw, which is included.  See the photos for the exquisite detail present on each set.  These are so crisply made that you just know they're CNC
manufactured with the finest technology available, along with the escutcheons and grip screw.
These grips come with a replacement grip screw for these grips, blued to complement the rich walnut hue.  In the photos above, the images were taken without flash.  T

e grips are not varnished or stained; they are oiled to protect them, which allows t
hem to
be
repaired easier than varnished grips should they be nicked or scratched in use.

The grips will really dress up your Walther at an affordable price.  These grips aren't synthetic; they are real English walnut, oiled to protect it.  The upper portions are smooth-sided, too, so the wood's appearance really stands out.  The smooth surface brings out the grain and hues of the wood in a way that, unfortunately, we cannot adequately capture with my digital camera.
We have shown a representative selection of the grips, and you will receive a set similar to those shown.  Since Nature creates the wood, the patterns vary, but each and every pair of these grips are stunning.  Due to the variations in P1/P38 frames, some minor fitting may be needed for your gun, depending on its age, original manufacturing plant and frame tolerances held.
These are for either left- or right-handed shooters, as there is no thumb rest.
This is a great way to improve the appearance and handling of your gun while adding the look of fine wood to your Walther.  They complement blued, coated or stainless guns equally well.
